I've been sitting on this recipe and finally made it this week! Sooooo delicious, but... we did have to Google afterwards, "do radishes make you gassy?" 😂 Turns out, yep, they sure do (at least for some folks). Worth it.
This recipe was such a delight! First time roasting radishes, and so glad I did. Really folks, use all of the two bunches. I had a lot of sweet juice, so just reduced it down and mounted it with butter like a G̶l̶u̶t̶t̶o̶n̶ woman who knows what she likes 😆
it works! i had to take off the legs because the breast was only 135 when the legs were 185, which released a lot of juices on the sheet pan. solved that by putting the pan directly on the baking steel. next time i think i would just break the chicken into four pieces before cooking.
I agree the radish is underrated. The first time I braided them I was astonished at their transformation into a little new potato-like gem. Thank you for this, Sohla!
I’ve made this four times now. It’s delicious and the presentation is also exquisite. I made it with the Easter egg colors once and it looked totally surreal. Everyone I’ve cooked it for loves this dish.
This came out so so delicious! Even though Im pretty sure i messed up the radishes. A question from europe dweller — are you supposed to trim the fat off of chicken thighs? By the amount if rendered fat that my radishes were swimming in I tend to guess yes 😁

trying this with a whole chicken (my family likes over cooked breast 😅) and i will report with results!

My thighs weren’t very fatty, so I didn’t trim them. But yes, if there’s a lot of fat trimming always helps!
