Thank you! It sounds like cheesy pan is not the norm so we’ll be whey more careful next time. My hot tip for any sort of pan disaster is to let it soak with a dishwasher tab in it— totally breaks down anything stuck on there, including melted cheese.
Made this for dinner last night and am enjoying the leftovers for lunch today! It was clean-out-the-fridge night and we had everything except the nuts and herbs, so we substituted with toasted pine nuts and basil/mint from the garden. It's delicious and super filling!!! And so satisfying to have another go-to meal for an abundance of summer veg.
Absolutely LOVE this!! Super great the day after for leftovers. .. making AGAIN this week. I used golden raisins because we didn't have dried cranberries and it was fine.
We finally got around to trying this whey trick on some farro and it turned our pot into a cheesy disaster. Maybe we should’ve been more careful to avoid cheese sediment? We can’t tell if it’s user error or mozzarella fluke… Any tips to avoid this in the future?

Love the salad recommendations Sohla. The food science is interesting is this how your new book will be written as well?
The book has much more science and technique. The writing newsletter is just chill and random bits of info
Sounds Delicious!
I love this tip about cooking the grains/pseudo-grains in the whey, definitely going to try that!
Oooh this makes me miss summer!!! We’ve cooked three different soups this week lol. Looks absolutely delicious

Sorry that happened! Hope the clean up wasn’t too bad. The only thing I can think it that maybe some cheese bits got mixed into the whey?
